Honored to earn the endorsement of the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters! This is a union that doesn’t just talk about opportunity, it builds it from the ground up!  From job sites to training centers, they are a true workforce engine delivering real results for working people. Their “Earn While You Learn” apprenticeship model is exactly what we should be scaling nationwide, paid training, real skills, and a direct pathway to high paying, high skills jobs. As your next Delegate to Congress, I’ll fight to expand these opportunities and make them the standard, not the exception.

Making D.C. safer and stronger by partnering with local and federal officials to address crime and invest in youth programs that create real opportunities that prevent violence – before it starts.

I created and championed the Pathways to Behavioral Health Degrees Act because D.C. needs more behavioral health professionals, and our residents deserve a pathway into those careers.

Addressing DC’s wealth gap disparity can healthily be achieved with the collaboration of governmental, private sector, and corporate commitments to creating sustainable solutions that will provide equitable access to education, skilled trades, job opportunities with livable wages, home ownership, and small business support. Small business owners in DC have employed approximately 48% of DC’s workforce, and thus their impact on DC’s local economy will be preserved and supported in my administration.

Trump and his allies have intentionally wrecked D.C.’s economy, causing tens of thousands of our neighbors to lose their jobs, made others scared to come to work or go to school for fear of being caught up in ICE’s wide and unlawful net, and dissuaded international and domestic travelers from visiting our city. DC doesn’t need higher taxes. It needs a smaller budget and lower taxes for small businesses, restaurants, and DC government workers. We should approve the $25 minimum wage and 2 year rent freeze ballot initiatives. During the 2 year rent freeze, DC should aggressively incentivize new housing by offering major tax breaks to developers, cutting unnecessary red tape, embracing a YIMBY mentality, and requiring a meaningful share of new units to be affordable. This is a long term investment in the city’s housing supply for the next 75 years. DC can lower the cost of living, support workers, increase housing, and strengthen the economy without raising taxes.

NEW: We secured $1.5 million in restitution and penalties for wage theft in DC construction. Brothers Mechanical and its subcontractors misclassified hundreds of workers at developments in NoMa and Navy Yard. This denied workers overtime, paid sick leave, and basic protections.

WORKER WIN: A construction company will pay $725,000 in restitution and penalties over wage theft. Christian Siding misclassified 200+ workers at 16 projects and failed to pay prevailing wages at 3 DC-funded affordable housing projects. In DC, what you earn is what you're owed.

It is in everyone's best interest for front desk workers and receptionists in DC to have paid sick leave.

WORKER WIN: A front desk staffing company will pay $400,000 for failing to provide paid sick leave. DC law requires paid sick leave, but First Impression Staffing denied it to hundreds of DC employees. Workers should not have to choose between their health and their livelihood.

NEWS: @DCAttorneyGen is suing Sequoia Row Consulting LLC and its CEO Paul Lawrence for allegedly pretending it was a D.C.-based small business (while Lawrence lived in Georgia) in order to gain preferential access to D.C. contracts. It got 32 contracts worth $13 million.
This case is a double whammy. Sequoia Row fraudulently obtained certification as a local business to secure millions in DC government contracts. Then, it illegally misclassified the janitors who did the work. We are suing to hold them accountable. https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2026/05/09/dc-attorney-general-accuses-georgia-company-of-contracting-scheme/
In 2025, we filed dozens of lawsuits opposing the federal government's illegal actions. This included challenging mass federal layoffs, the suspension of SNAP benefits, and the federal takeover of MPD. Our actions helped preserve access to $300+ million in federal funds for DC.

Workers deserve paid sick leave, overtime, and essential benefits that enable them to continue the work our infrastructure depends on. I’m proud to be endorsed by the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters for my reelection campaign and empower workers here in DC.

I’m honored to be endorsed by Ironworkers Local 5 for my reelection campaign. One of the biggest fights we face is worker misclassification and I’m looking forward to my partnership with the Ironworkers to make sure workers receive fair pay and benefits.

DC has the highest unemployment rate in the country. And many of the places that DC tries to copy also have higher unemployment rates. DC needs to rethink what examples it is trying to follow.

Yeah so, actually, all of science denies this. A egg that has not yet been fertilized by a sperm is not alive. Stop scaring women with falsehoods like this. Once fertilized by a sperm, then there is a life. Abortion intentionally ends that life.

“A woman who has a monthly period has a monthly abortion.” No. This is not even remotely how human reproduction works. I’m exhausted by the constant word games used to normalize abortion.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Hebrews 12:1-3

Absolutely blessed by the showing of support this Thursday as my team and I hosted voters from across DC! What a joy it was to gather with many who feel as though we are not without hope here in the city - we are bringing a real choice back to this place, we are bringing democracy back to our nation's capitol.

Was blessed to also take a moment to honor and memorialize the the many fellow Americans who lives were taken during the 9/11 attacks 25 years ago and thank God for those who risked their lives to save others.

“So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:1-11

The people of DC continually have expressed their lack of trust in the current system and I hope to bring a real choice to the table this year. Very grateful to have joined, the excellent host, Maria Maalouf on The Capitol Show this week! DC, Vote Prudent for Chair this November!

Washington, D.C., has long been dominated by Democratic leadership—but Republican candidates Abi-Ananiah Prudent and Darrell Green argue that the nation’s capital desperately needs a new direction. In this exclusive interview with Maria Maalouf, the candidates confront the city’s most urgent challenges: violent crime, juvenile offenders, failing schools, government accountability, affordability and declining public trust. @AbiAnaniah @DarrellGreen Prudent, the Republican nominee for Chair of the D.C. Council, explains why she believes residents are no longer being heard. Green, a lifelong Washingtonian and former Metropolitan Police officer running for an at-large Council seat, calls for tougher accountability while defending rehabilitation for young offenders. They also address cooperation with President Trump and Congress, progressive leadership, D.C. statehood—and why lifelong Democratic voters should consider voting Republican on November 3. Illinois woman who was “very interested” in the Lindsay Clancy trial, allegedly hanged her 2 year old child from the rafters in the basement of her $1M home. 2-year-old Barrett Walsh was found hanging with his feet off the ground. His mother, Corie Walsh, immediately told investigators she thought he was the “devil” and the “anti-Christ.” One witness says Walsh was “very interested” with the Clancy trial. Absolutely horrific. The female true crime cult has their new hero.
